Gary Hovey is a Red Seal chef, starting young in his field and beginning with apprenticeships under some of the finest local European chefs.
Gary worked as a Sous Chef, University Instructor, and Head Chef before deciding to begin his own catering company.
From the beginning Gary has focused on his philosophy of ‘doing things right’; no short cuts, making food with high quality ingredients, and offering foods that people already love without any ‘fancy surprises’.
Katie Hovey, Gary’s daughter, joined City Core over a decade ago, taking the service and presentation to the next level. Katie is dedicated to making every event special, and exactly what the client envisions.
